Reidsville Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

Reidsville Police have arrested a man wanted in connection with a bank robbery in Reidsville on Thursday afternoon.

The robbery happened around 2:20 p.m. at the BB&T on South Main Street. Police said Victor Withers, 34, entered the bank and gave a note to the teller, demanding money. He grabbed the money and fled before officers arrived, police said.

No one was injured.

Around 10:35 p.m. Thursday, Withers was arrested near Williams Motel, police said.

Withers was also wanted in connection with a robbery at Stadler's Grocery around 3 a.m. Thursday, police said.

He was placed in the Rockingham County Jail under a $1,000,000 bond. His court date is set for Dec. 28.
